Sex is the anatomy of one’s reproductive systemhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secondary_sex_characteristic. It is a male or female category of humans and other living things divided according to their reproductive functions. Gender refers to the personal identification of one’s gender based on internal awareness of social roles based on the sex of the person. It is either of the two sexes considered especially about social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. Transgender are persons whose gender identity is different from the biological sex (Goss, 2017). The assigned sex and gender do not match, or the person may have sex features that differ the assignment on the sex hence becoming intersex.

Gender typing is the process where a child gets aware of his/her gender and therefore acts accordingly through adopting values and attributes of sex members they consider as their own. “Non-binary” is a gender that does not fall into a male or female.  Theybies are children brought up without gender designation from birth (Goss, 2017). A theybie is a baby brought up in a gender-neutral environment to protect against gender socialization. Theybies kids in society, eliminate the gender stereotyping and roles, thereby making the kids have complete control over their identity.

Motor development is the growth of a child’s bones, muscles, and ability to move in the environment. The fundamental reason for knowing one’s self is the sense of self as male or female. Children get interested in finding out physically and the activities for different genders. Kids also learn at tender ages the expectations for boys and girls (Wong & Yeung, 2019). Through socialization, where people behave in a particular way dictated by societal values, beliefs, and attitudes, children tend to distinguish their sexes and what is needed. Children exposed to non-traditional gender roles participate in a non-traditional play like boys nurturing dolls and girls playing as an engineer, do less of gender stereotyping.

Gender stereotypes are the beliefs that individuals have about the features of males and females. They are the generalizations concerns about what men and women are like and what they should do differently. It is the leading cause of discrimination, abuse, and violence, leading to human rights violations. It affects a young boy who wishes to do what is meant for a girl and vice versa in the following activities. Access to quality education. This bars girls from quality education since girls are forever known for domestic and care activities in the homestead instead of boys.

Access to and participation in information and communication technologies (ICTs) discourages girls from accessing education and occupation in the STEM fields of becoming ICT experts since it is believed that it is the boys’ occupation. Boys are not allowed to play with dolls as girls since they are perceived as girls’ responsibility in homes to look after their younger ones and vice versa with toys for boys (Wong & Yeung, 2019). Gender advertisement has changed gender stereotyping from the 1950s, where it is elaborated in the advertisement equipment that girls could therefore do what men could do and vice versa.

Individuals who identify themselves as transgender should be able to compete in sports of their chosen non-biological gender. However, they do not have clear advantages as to why they should participate. Many people still oppose Trans athletes claiming that allowing them to participate will interfere with the cisgender women. Excluding Trans women in sports hurt all women (Amin et al., 2018). Transgender athletes do not have a full advantage to participate in the female athletes since they got to visit the hospital to legalize their testosterone level to match that of the female, which becomes expensive to many hence hindering their participation in athletics. It is necessary to have an equal chance of competence in transgender athletes to do away with the discrimination and the gender stereotypes since these people do not choose their biological sex but find themselves that way. Therefore, there should be no discrimination in sports.
